Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of
"The World's Greatest Motorcycle Parade"

Financial Gift Presentation

The Silver Anniversary celebration of The Chicago TFT Motorcycle Parade continues with exciting, special events, the latest being the annual Financial Gift Presentation. The work of our members has enabled us to over $80,000 to more than 30 charities and individuals in the area.

On May 16, 2003, dozens of  representatives from these groups came to the Stempien VFW to accept our gifts to them. This also gave them an opportunity to meet our Parade members, and to tell us some of the ways in which they help children in need.

There were some very heartfelt, emotional stories, many about how the funds would be used to buy medicine or food or clothes.

Some of the recipients included;

Boy Scout Troops 616, 897 and 1605
Camp Quality USA
Children Habilitation Center South
Cornerstone
Cystic Fibrosis Ride for a Cure
DuPage Easter Seals
Freedom Run
Green Ribbon Rally
Guardian Angel Home
Gus Foundation-Zoom for Zack
Illinois Burn Camp-Safety Alliance
Kathy Balesrti
LAMA-Vaugh School
Lawrence Home
Lawson Benefit
Lincoln Challenge Academy
Little Angels Ride
Lydia Home Association
Maryville Academy
Medinah Motor Corps
Misericordia Home
Operation Blessing
Park Lawn Benefit
Renegade Riders-Sickle Cell Anemia Fund
Ride for Kids-Pediatric Brain Tumor Association
Robert Regan Family
Saint Joseph Carondelet Center
Sertoma Centre
South Suburban Needy Family Fund
Stempien VFW Post
Valentine Boys and Girls Club
Young Marines
With an additional $24,000 used to purchase even more toys, this year's total of funds distributed is already over $100,000!

Thanks to all our members who made this possible, and thanks to everyone who purchased The Parade's 25th Anniversary memorabilia, raffle tickets, etc.
