Hope
everyone is having a great summer. As many of you know, Toys for
Tots isn't just about some parade down Western in December. Just as
other organizations help us, we try to help other organizations with
their events. Not every organization can have 600 plus people come
out to help on a single day event like Toys for Tots does, so it's
important we give them our support so they can archive their goals.
So here are some TFT Ride DATE REMINDERS for the upcoming weeks.
Ride for
Kids, SUNDAY, July 15 This
one is for this weekend and our buddy Phil Dustin could use us once
again for road blocking. We will be meeting at Green Acres/ Country
Kitchen restaurant in Summit
off Archer Road by
Summit park . We will be departing at
7:30 as we have to be at Allstate Arena by
8:30
to go over the intersections needed to be covered. If you do not go
to Green Acres and want to volunteer just advise the Ride for Kids
staff you are a TFT road blocker and they will park you accordingly.
So if needing breakfast be there before
7:30 on Sunday morning.
Sunday July15,2007 Ride For Kids: Starts at
Allstate Insurance at 541W. Higgins rd. South
Barrington, Ill 60010.
Registration opens at 7 AM
and closes at
9:15. Once again our TFT Friend Phil
Dustin needs some dedicated volunteers and some Road Blockers for
this ride. If you are interested advise Cooch. . We will be meeting
at Country Kitchen in Summit
for breakfast at 6AM with a
departure at

Wilking Second Annual Poker Run For Chicagoland Toys for Tots
Motorcycle Parade, SATURDAY, July 21: Registration
is from 10AM
to Noon. First Bike out at
Noon. Starts at Route 50 North Barr
in Manteno. All modes of transportation are welcome. Raffles,
50/50, door prizes , food and music after ride. Rain or shine.
Tickets in advance $10 person or $15 per couple. At the door $15
per person or $20 per couple. Bring a toy along for the ride. All
proceeds will benefit our Parade. Last year at this event they
donated back to us almost $7500, of which we gave back half to them
to continue doing good deeds in their community in honor of Garret.
This was a great ride and a good time for a good cause for them and
us. Would like to see more members in attendance. We will be
gathering at Green Acres in Summit
if you are interested. Departing at

Big Bikes Helping Little Tykes,
SATURDAY, July 21: If looking for a
longer ride or a trip to Wisconsin.
This ride is indeed worthy. This ride was started by our friend
Kevin O' Meara from South Suburban Abate/ Ugly Run and Oak Lawn
Harley Davidson. This a great 100 mile ride that starts at Dukes
drive in ,at 8115 S. Harlem, Bridgeview. All
proceeds go to One Step at a Time Camp for Kids with Cancer &
