TOYS  FOR  TOTS

MOTORCYCLE PARADE

The procedure for counting the votes has evolved through the years, and the following method has proved to be the quickest and most effective way.  In the interest of making the counting of the ballots as fast as possible, the person in charge of counting the votes may begin the process before the official, advertised time of the closing of the elections. Those members who have volunteered to count the votes will do so in a separate, area away from the distractions in the general meeting area. Any members who question the honesty and integrity of the counting being done in a private area are invited to witness the counting, but these members must stay in the vote counting area until the vote counting is completed.
The vote counting will require at least three members. At least two members, one being a Board member, will open and read aloud each entire ballot. As the names of the candidates receiving votes are read, at least three members will be selected to record these votes.  After approximately one quarter of the votes are counted, the three members that are recording the totals will count their individual tallies. If these totals agree, then the counting will continue.  If their totals do not agree, then the votes will be recounted until all totals agree.  This process will continue until all votes are counted.

A TRIBUTE TO OUR DEPARTED MEMBERS

PARADE BYLAWS

As a completely volunteer organization, we need the talents of many individuals. We need planners, publicists, writers for brochures and newsletters. We need car and truck drivers, product sellers, road blockers, sidecar drivers, printers, people to collect, and sort the toys and other volunteers in many other areas.

Parade volunteers are expected to attend the general meetings held prior to The Parade and participate in other events that the Parade organization sponsors during the year. These events may include riding to local charities, participating in neighborhood parades, picnics, and assisting with Parade promotions at the swap meets and motorcycle shows.

Anyone interested in becoming a Parade volunteer is invited to attend the annual Kick-off Party in September. Here you will learn more about The Parade organization, meet other Parade members and register to be a part of Chicago's most diverse and dynamic motorcycle organization.

General meetings are held at the Rhine VFW Post at 5858 South Archer Avenue in Chicago.
Northside meeting are held at The River Park Moose Lodge located at 8601 Fullerton, River Grove, IL, 60101.

Board of Directors Meetings are held at the Rhine VFW 5858 S. Archer Avenue, Chicago.

9. Election Procedure

MAY THE SUN RISE IN FRONT OF ME
MAY THE RAIN FALL BEHIND ME
AND THE WIND FOLLOW ME
MAY THE ANGELS OF MY BROTHERS
AND SISTERS WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE ME
GUARD MY TRAVELS
FOR THEY KNOW THE PERILS
OF THE ROAD AHEAD OF ME
KEEP ME SAFE THROUGH THE
ROUGH CITY STREETS ON MY WAY
TO THE LAND OF SWIRLING TURNS
AND ROLLING HILLS
LET THE COLOURS OF FALL
KEEP ME WARM
LET THE EAGLE GUIDE ME
TO THE MOUNTAINTOPS
LET THE MOON'S LIGHT GUIDE ME
THROUGH THE NIGHT
MAY MY TIRES NOT FAIL ME
NOR MY ENGINE GROW OLD
MAY MY BIKE DRAW LIFE
FROM THE STREAMS I PASS
KEEP MY SEAT SOFT
AND MY MIND SHARP
LET THE AIR OF SPRING
BREATHE LIFE INTO MY SOUL
TO JOURNEY TO ANOTHER ADVENTURE
BESIDE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS
